Wedding bells ring for a host of Kerala celebs

Chingam, the first month in the Malayalam calendar, is round the corner and wedding bells have already begun to ring in Mollywood.  Considered as the most auspicious month for weddings, Chingam will see a bunch of celebrities tie the knot. And many have also recently announced their plans to get hitched. The most prominent among them is actor Asin Thottumkal who recently confirmed her plans to get married to Rahul Sharma, co-founder of Micromax. The "Ghajini" star has declared that she will get married to Sharma, whom she has been dating for four years now, by the end of this year. At present, she is busy wrapping up all her professional commitments. Archana Kavi, who is best known for her role in MT Vasudevan Nair's remake film "Neelathamara", will soon exchange vows with stand-up comedian Abish Mathew. The couple are childhood friends and their match is said to be an arranged one. Another wedding that seems to have taken many be surprise is that of Muktha marrying Rinku Tomy, popular singer Rimi Tomy’s brother on August 30. Muktha began her acting career with director Lal Jose’s "Achanurangatha Veedu" and has acted in a couple of hit movies in Malayalam and Tamil. Malayalam actress Saranya Mohan is getting married on September 6 with Trivandrum-based doctor Aravind Krishnan. Their's will be an arranged marriage.   Later this month, the most celebrated director in the Malayalam film industry at present, Alphonse Puthren is also getting married. The "Premam" director has opted for an arranged marriage with Aleena Mary Antony, daughter of film producer Alwyn Antony and the couple will tie the knot on September 22.
