Amid escalating tensions along India’s borders, the Kerala government has established dedicated control rooms to support Keralites living in the northern and western states potentially affected by the ongoing military standoff with Pakistan.
Acting on the instructions of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the control rooms have been activated both at the state Secretariat and at the Non-Resident Keralites Affairs (NORKA) office. The initiative aims to provide timely assistance and verified information to students, workers, and families from Kerala who are currently residing in high-risk regions.
Authorities have emphasized that there is no immediate threat to the safety of the citizens and have urged the public to remain calm, vigilant, and follow official guidance.
The Secretariat Control Room can be reached via landline at 0471-2517500 / 2517600 or through email at cdmdkerala@kerala.gov.in. NORKA’s Global Contact Centre is available toll-free within India at 1800 425 3939, while Malayalis abroad can request assistance by giving a missed call to +91 88020 12345.
