Rajesh Pillai passed away at 11.45 am at private hospital at Kochi on Saturday.

With only four movies to his repertoire, the vibrant young director had already carved out a niche for himself in the Malayalam film industry, with his second movie "Traffic" ushering in a new genre of fast-paced socio-thrillers.
