Veteran Kannada actor Bank Janardhan passed away at a private hospital in Bengaluru on Monday, April 14. He was 75. The actor died due to age-related issues.
Born in 1948, Bank Janardhan was known for his work in both television and films. He made his film debut with Pitamaha in 1985, directed by KL Swamy, and went on to act in over 500 films. He was widely recognised for his comic timing and unique dialogue delivery. Some of his notable film roles include Shhh! (1993), Tarle Nan Maga (1992), Ganesha Subramanya (1992), and Kaurava (1998). On television, he featured in popular serials such as Papa Pandu, Mangalya Jokali, and Robo Family.
The actor had suffered a heart attack in 2023. His mortal remains will be kept at his residence in Sulthanpalya for public homage.
