After finally winning their first IPL title with a six-run win over Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad on Tuesday night, June 3, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are now all set to embark on a jam-packed day of celebrations when they touch down in Bengaluru on Wednesday afternoon.

As per a statement initially issued by the franchise, celebratory events to mark RCB’s first-ever IPL title included an open-top bus parade from Vidhana Soudha to M Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, Bengaluru Police later said that there will be no victory parade.

RCB is expected to arrive at the HAL Airport at 1:30 PM, after departing from Ahmedabad at 10 AM. The team will meet Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at Vidhana Soudha from 4 to 5 PM, followed by a felicitation event at M Chinnaswamy Stadium from 5 to 6 PM.

In light of the public gathering for the felicitation function, Bengaluru Police has issued a traffic advisory for June 4. The public is advised to avoid roads surrounding Vidhana Soudha and M Chinnaswamy Stadium between 3 PM and 8 PM due to expected congestion.

With no parade taking place, and limited parking around the stadium, people have been urged to use Metro and other public transport to attend the event and avoid inconvenience.
