The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has decided to suspend stoppage of trains at Cubbon Park and  Dr. BR Ambedkar Vidhana Soudha stations until further notice.

The decision was taken due to the extremely high footfalls for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team felicitation function at Vidhana Soudha and Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium.

At least ten people who had come to view their Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricket team tragically lost their lives on Wednesday, June 4. Several others, including children, have been injured and rushed to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institution.

Token and QR ticket vending services at these stations have been temporarily suspended. BMRCL urged all commuters to take note of these temporary changes and cooperate with metro staff.

Passengers have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternate metro stations for their travel needs.
