
The Karnataka government approved nine industrial projects with a total investment of Rs 9,823.31 crore at the 64th meeting of the State High-Level Clearance Committee (SHLCC) held on Monday, December 23. Chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the meeting introduced three new proposals, while the remaining are expansion projects. These projects aim to create around 5,605 jobs.
The new projects include DN Solutions’ Rs 998 crore investment in Devanahalli (467 jobs), Silectric Semiconductor’s Rs 3,425.60 crore project in Mysuru (460 jobs), and Sansera Engineering’s Rs 2,150 crore project in Bengaluru (3,500 jobs). Musashi Autoparts India Pvt Ltd at Doddaballapura, JSW Cement Ltd at Toranagallu, NIDEC Industrial Automation India Pvt. Ltd at Belur, Epsilon Carbon Pvt Ltd at Sandur, KB Steels Pvt. Ltd at Hosapete, and Sify Data Managed Services Ltd at High-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park. would be expanded.
During the meeting, Siddaramaiah said that the first semiconductor project in the state would be established at the Kochanahalli Electronics Manufacturing Cluster near Mysuru. He warned investors that not acquiring KIADB plots for their units before the deadline would incur a penalty. Industries Minister MB Patil, IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge, Agriculture Minister N Cheluvarayaswamy, and senior officials attended the meeting.
“Beyond Bengaluru, additional projects across Ballari, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, and Vijayanagara districts were approved. These investments reflect our unwavering focus on ensuring that the benefits of industrial and economic progress are spread across the state,” Priyank Kharge said.
