Kannada television personality and comedian Rakesh Poojary, known for winning Comedy Khiladigalu Season 3, succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 34. The incident occurred during the early hours of Monday, May 12, at a pre-wedding ceremony near Udupi, Karnataka.

Rakesh Poojary, who was reportedly filming for Kantara: Chapter 1, passed away while attending the mehendi ceremony of a close friend near Udupi. Just hours before his demise, Rakesh had shared a picture from the wedding on his Instagram Stories.

According to reports, Rakesh collapsed while dancing at the event and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Apart from his win in Comedy Khiladigalu, Rakesh made notable appearances in several Kannada and Tulu films, including Itu Entha Lokavayya, Pailwan, Ammer Police, and Petkammi.
