Dharmasthala whistleblower exclusive: I buried bodies, worried we aren’t finding them

In an exclusive conversation with Shivani Kava of The News Minute, the Dharmasthala whistleblower opens up about the deep fear and frustration haunting him as the SIT struggles to recover remains he claims to have buried decades ago. Forced into the work in the 1990s under threats to his life and family, he says he buried dozens of bodies but now finds himself unable to locate them. Changes to the land, forest growth, landslides, and deliberate filling of soil have, he believes, erased crucial markers. Despite returning out of guilt and a desire for justice, he worries that the absence of discoveries will fuel doubt about his account. “I am not crazy to point out random places,” he insists, urging patience in the search.
