The Bengaluru police have arrested the man who created panic in the city’s Indiranagar area in the first week of February after he stabbed four people one after another in a single day, causing serious injuries.
Police arrested Kadamba (23), who is accused of going on a stabbing spree on February 8, near Hoskote on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Saturday, February 15. They also arrested three members of his family including his father Suresh, brother Vishnu, and sister Sushmita for helping him hide from the police.
Kadamba allegedly stabbed four residents of Indiranagar: Jashwant P (19), Mahesh Sitapati S (23), Deepak Kumar Verma (24), and Tammaiah (44) on February 8. He also allegedly attacked another man named Adil the following day.
The stabbings sparked rumours that a serial killer was on the loose. However, police dismissed the rumours, clarifying that Kadamba was accused of stabbing four people after getting into a drunken altercation with his family.
