Bengaluru Metro services on a section of the Purple Line will be temporarily suspended on Sunday, June 22, due to scheduled maintenance work, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced.

Train services between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli will not operate from 7 am to 9 am, as maintenance is to be carried out between Halasuru and Trinity stations. BMRCL said the short interruption is necessary to ensure the safety and convenience of commuters.

Metro services on the rest of the Purple Line, from Challaghatta to MG Road and Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield (Kadugodi), will continue as per schedule. The Green Line, connecting Madavara and Silk Institute, will also remain unaffected.

Full metro services on the curtailed stretch between MG Road and Baiyappanahalli are expected to resume from 9 am onwards on the same day.
