

Vijay Sethupathi who recently made his Telugu debut with Chiranjeevi's Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy has been roped in as villain in Allu Arjun’s new film, AA 20. The film will be helmed by Sukumar and also marks the third collaboration of Allu Arjun with the director and will go on floors by this December. Touted to be an action entertainer, the film is based on red sanders smuggling and is set in the backdrop of Rayalaseema and Nellore.
Sources told Cinema Express, "Vijay Sethupathi has become choosy about the films he tackles. The storyline narrated by Sukumar has impressed him and he has agreed in principle to work in the film. The duo will soon catch up for a detailed narration to find common ground over several aspects. Sukumar has done a location recce in Nallamala forest to find exactly the right locations for the shoot and currently, the art department is busy with the set work. The team is determined to begin the shooting before the New Year.”
Recently, Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in as the antagonist for Vijay's next directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Tentatively titled Thalapathy 64, it is touted to be a gangster film with Vijay pitted against Vijay Sethupathi.
Vijay Sethupathi has also signed a deal to star in another Telugu film. Titled Uppena, the film will be directed by Buchi Babu Sana and will mark the acting debut of Panja Vaisshnav Tej. In this film, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as the heroine’s father. Krithi Shetty is playing the female lead in this romantic entertainer that is set in a fishing hamlet. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose music for this venture. Mythri Movie Makers are producing this film.
