Suriya and KV Anand have joined hands for the third time in upcoming yet-untitled action thriller, currently dubbed as Suriya 37. The project, which is on the verge of completion, also stars Mohanlal, Sayyeshaa, Arya, Boman Irani and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.

Over the last few months, rumours have been making the rounds about the project’s title. Over the weekend, Anand took to Twitter to run a poll with three title options and asked fans to participate and pick the best title.

The three options mentioned were Meetpaan, Kaappaan and Uirka. Anand also revealed that Kaanjagan is the fourth title option while replying to a fan’s tweet.

Even though the title option Uirka won the poll with maximum percentage of votes, Anand didn’t confirm if it is the final title. He said the title will be officially unveiled on January 1, 2019.

Suriya has already completed shooting his portion for the film. However, the makers are yet to finish the last schedule which will be shot in Chennai soon. In the film, Suriya is rumoured to be playing a bodyguard to Mohanlal, who is said to be playing a Prime Minister.

The film originally starred Telugu actor Allu Sirish in a crucial role. He later chose to exit from the project and revealed the reason via a statement. “This is to let you all know about my part in Suriya 37. My dates required for the film was clashing with my other film ABCD. The shoot dates could not be rescheduled because of the logistics involved. Keeping in mind the best interest of both the films, I volunteered to step down from the role. And the director KV Anand sir too has understood the issue and accepted my decision.”

Sirish went on to add he’s really looking forward to the release of the film and thanked the makers for the opportunity. Arya was eventually signed on to replace Sirish and the grapevine is that the former plays a negative role.
