Actor Tamannaah Bhatia is the next star to hop on the digital bandwagon. According to reports, the actor will be part of a web series, which will be bankrolled by Vikatan and premiere on OTT platform Hotstar. More details are expected to be revealed soon.

This comes in the backdrop of other stars such as Samantha Akkineni, Kajal Aggarwal, veteran star Meena, Anjali, Amala Paul and Sai Pallavi also making their digital debut. Samantha is set to make her web series debut with Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man 2, which will stream on Amazon Prime. Sai Pallavi and Anjali are acting in a Netflix Tamil anthology. Meena is set to foray into the digital space with Karoline Kamakshi, a Zee5 miniseries, while it was announced that Ramya Krishnan will play the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in the web series Queen, which is directed by Gautham Menon.

With a slew of projects in her kitty, Tamannaah is looking at a very busy year with multiple releases. Last seen playing an action commando opposite Vishal in Action, she awaits the release of her long-pending project That Is Mahalakshmi, a remake of the critically acclaimed Bollywood flick Queen.

The star has also been roped in for a special song in the Mahesh Babu starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru directed by Anil Ravipudi. The actor had recently grooved for a special number in Yash’s Kannada blockbuster hit KGF: Chapter 1. She has also appeared in several special songs in Telugu like Speedunnodu, Jai Lava Kusa and Alludu Seenu.

Tamannaah also awaits the release of Bole Chudiyan with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is being directed by the actor’s brother Shamas Siddiqui. Earlier, Mouni Roy was signed to play the female lead in the film, but she was later replaced by Tamannaah.
