Shiva Rajkumar will be associating with one of the biggest production houses in the south Indian film industry. The Kannada star will be doing a film with Sathya Jyothi Films, confirm sources. The film will be directed by Ravi Arasu, who has directed movies such as Eeti and Ayngaran. Apparently, Ravi Arasu floored Shiva Rajkumar with a cop story and the star immediately agreed to hop on board.
Sources close to the director say that after watching Shiva Rajkumar play a policeman in films like Tagaru and Mufti, Ravi Arasu was set on casting the star for his film. The shooting of this film, which is yet to be titled, will commence in February next year.
In the meantime, Shiva Rajkumar is about to complete shooting for Bhajarangi 2. The star and director A Harsha are teaming up for the third time for this film. Talking about the title, the director reportedly said that the film will have no connection to the 2013 film Bhajarangi but he chose it because his team liked it. So from what we gather, Bhajarangi 2 will be a completely different story.
Bhajarangi 2 will have Bhavana sharing screen space with Shiva Rajkumar. The technical crew of the film consists of Arjun Janya for music composition, J Swamy to handle the camera and Deepu S Kumar for editing. With the film’s shooting commencing, Shiva Rajkumar fans are elated that their star is hale and healthy. The star had undergone surgery for a muscle tear in his right shoulder in the UK in July.
Besides this film, Shiva Rajkumar also has SRK and Drona in his kitty waiting for release this year. And now we hear that the star has signed another project. To be directed by AP Arjun, the film has reportedly been titled Royal In Field. Sources in the know say that the prep work for the film is also going on simultaneously.
