The trailer of the Shiva Rajkumar starrer Rustum was released recently and is going viral among film buffs. The hero is seen mouthing the punch dialogue: “Mujhe arrest bole tho allergy... Encounter bole tho energy,” in the trailer, which has fans going crazy over it.
Talking about the film, Rustum director Ravi Varma told Cinema Express in an interview: “Rustum will have Shivanna featuring in three action sequences out of five. The fourth will feature Vivek Oberoi, and the last one will be a chase.” The director added that he is planning to release Rustum towards the end of May. In this regard, he said, “The film is now in re-recording stages. We are looking for a May release. An official announcement will be made on this front once we present the film to the censor board.”
The film is produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra under the banner Jayanna Combines. Shraddha Srinath plays the lead opposite Shiva Rajkumar and Mayuri will be seen as Shiva Rajkumar’s sister. Touted to be a romantic action entertainer, Rustum will have Anoop Seelin scoring the music and Mahendra Simha wielding the camera.
According to reports, Shiva Rajkumar plays a cop in this flick and will be sporting a new look. Though the star has appeared as cop in some films earlier, his role as a police officer in Rustum will be different and his fans will love it, say sources in the know. Being an action entertainer, fans can get to see some daredevilry stunts in the film.
It may be noted here that Ravi Varma is a well-known stunt choreographer who will be making his debut as director with Rustum, so fans can watch out for some amazing stunt sequences.
Shiva Rajkumar’s next film in the pipeline is My Name is Anji. The film will be directed by A Harsha and the shooting will begin in June this year. Incidentally, Harsha and Shiva Rajkumar have worked together in Bhajarangi and Vajrakaya in the past and this is their third venture together.
