Rashmika Mandanna made her debut in the Kannada film industry with Kirik Party, which turned out to be a massive hit. Following this, she acted in Anjani Putra and Chamak which were hits as well. This paved way for her entry into the Telugu film industry with Chalo and the actor established herself in Tollywood as well.
Rashmika managed to create a niche for herself in Tollywood with the movie Chalo and has good fan following right not. This has prompted the makers of Chamak to dub the film and release it in Telugu under the title Geetha Chalo. The idea behind the title is the success of two Rashmika’s films in Tollywood – Geetha Govindam and Chalo.
Chamak is a romantic comedy released in 2017. The film was written and directed by Suni and starred Ganesh and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The technical crew of Chamak included Judah Sandy for soundtrack and score and the cinematography is by Santhosh Rai Pathaje with Manu Shedgar editing it.
Chamak was widely acclaimed and had a 100-day run at several theatres in Karnataka. The film was bankrolled by T. R. Chandrashekar under the banner Crystal Park Cinemas. The Telugu version of Chamak will hit the silver screens on April 26.
Rashmika is all set to make her Tamil debut too this year. Recently it was announced that Rashmika will star opposite Karthi in a yet-untitled project to be directed of Bakkiyaraj Kannan of Remo fame. To be bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures, the film will mark the first time collaboration of Karthi and Bakkiyaraj Kannan, and it’s tipped to be a film high on action and comedy.
Rashmika is also expecting the release of Dear Comrade in which she shares screen space with Vijay Deverakonda. The film has reached the post production mode and is likely to hit the marquee in June this year. Directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade is reportedly inspired from the Mollywood movie Comrade in America. It had Dulquer Salman playing the lead role. Dear Comrade is being produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar and C. V. Mohan under the banner Mythri Movie Makers.
