The poster for Dulquer Salmaan's first Hindi film Karwaan, is out. The popular south star, who has acted in Tamil, Malayalam and recently the Telugu film Mahanati, is venturing into Bollywood with this film.

The poster suggests that the film revolves around a road trip. It carries the intriguing tagline '3 lost souls...2 dead bodies...A journey of a lifetime'. The poster features Dulquer, Mithila Palkar, and Irrfan Khan sharing a light moment while drinking tender coconut water, with a yellow car next to them. Dulquer also sports a pair of nerdy glasses.

Karwaan, directed by Akash Khurana, is expected to release on August 10. According to reports, Dulquer's character is named Avinash. Mithila Palkar will also be making her Bollywood acting debut with Karwaan.

Dulquer has signed another Hindi film with Sonam Kapoor. This project is a romcom based on The Zoya Factor, a novel by Anuja Chauhan. Dulquer will be playing a cricketer in the film.

The star, who is among the most popular actors of his generation in Kerala, has been steadily establishing himself in other industries too. In Tamil, he became an overnight heartthrob with OK Kanmani. In Telugu, he has been winning acclaim for his portrayal of Gemini Ganesan in Mahanati. The film has Dulquer playing a complex role with negative shades and the actor has excelled himself, according to critics.

Interestingly, Malayalam actor Parvathy also starred in her first Hindi film Qarib Qarib Singlle with Irrfan Khan.
