The makers of Dhruva Sarja’s Pogaru, directed by Nanda Kishore, released a special dialogue trailer of the film on Thursday. The trailer is action-packed and opens with an action sequence, with Dhruva Sarja’s physical transformation being the highlight.
The trailer has been well-received by movie buffs and fans because of the punch dialogue portions, which are a forte of Dhruva Sarja. It establishes the lead character without killing the suspense factor associated with it. On the progress of this film, we hear that the shooting of the talkie portions have been wrapped up and the songs will have to be canned.
Pogaru features Rashmika Mandanna as the lead opposite Dhruva. Dhananjay has been roped in to play the baddie in this flick. Raghavendra Rajkumar and Mayuri are playing pivotal roles as well. The technical crew of this film includes Chandan Shetty for music and Vijay Milton for cinematography. Pogaru is bankrolled by BK Gangadhar under his banner.
It may be recalled that the first schedule of the film was successfully completed last year and the team then went on a long break. This paved way for rumours that the producers were not happy with the script and that it needed some fine-tuning. Later, it was clarified that the delay in the second schedule was due to the fact that Dhruva had to gain weight. The actor had shed close of 30 kg to play a schoolboy in the first schedule and he took time to regain the lost weight.
French bodybuilder Morgan Aste, popularly known as ‘The Big Rock’, American professional bodybuilder Kai Greene, international athlete John Lucas and German fitness sensation Jo Linder have been signed up for the film. An important action sequence, which will form the film’s climax, featuring Dhruva Sarja and the bodybuilders has been canned at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
