Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumar’s next, titled Seetharama Kalyana, was launched by his father recently amidst much fanfare. Being the actor’s third film, expectations are quite high.
While A Harsha will be wielding the megaphone for this family entertainer that is set in the rural milieu, it will be bankrolled by Nikhil’s mother and HD Kumaraswamy’s wife Anitha Kumaraswamy under the banner Chennambika Films.
It is confirmed that Nikhil would play the lead role in Seetharama Kalyana and popular Tamil hero Sarath Kumar has been roped in for a crucial role. The rest of the star cast, including the female lead will be announced shortly, we hear. Reports say that the film’s shooting would begin on December 10th and the groundwork for it has started already.
Ravi Basrur will be composing the tunes for this flick with J Swamy cranking the camera. It may be noted here that Harsha is currently busy with the post-production of Anjani Putra that has Puneeth Rajkumar and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair.
The film is due to hit the marquee on December 23rd, 2017.
Nikhil made his acting debut with the 2016 release Jaguar which was directed by Mahadev. It was a bilingual that was released in Kannada and Telugu. He is currently busy playing Abhimanyu in Kurukshetra, touted to be one of the costliest films ever to be made in Sandalwood. Directed by Naganna, he would be sharing screen space with some of the top league actors in the Kannada film industry such as Darshan, Ambarish, V. Ravichandran, and Arjun Sarja. Signing up a slew of films, Nikhil is fast emerging as one of the most wanted stars in the film industry.
