Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman was admitted to Apollo Hospital on Greams Road in Chennai on Sunday, March 16 and was discharged within a few hours.
The 58-year-old was taken to the hospital around 7.30 am on Sunday, reports say. The hospital later issued a statement saying that the music director visited the hospital exhibiting dehydration symptoms and was discharged after a routine check-up.
Recently, Rahman made a surprise cameo at international pop musician Ed Sheeran’s concert in Chennai. Rahman has also scored the music for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film Thug Life starring Kamal Haasan, scheduled for release this year.
