There are reports that Mammootty’s Puthan Panam may join the Vishu race. There has been quite a lot of speculation over the film’s release. Though it hasn't been officially announced, it is rumored that Puthan Panam may be out this Vishu. Directed by Ranjith, the film has been bankrolled by Ranjith, Abraham Mathew and Arun Narayanan under the banner Three Colour Cinema.

Puthan Panam, which is said to deal with black money and financial issues, has Mammootty playing a businessman named Nithyananda Shenoy who is based out at Kasergode. The star will be seen sporting a different look in the movie and mouthing the Kasergode dialect. His salt and pepper look with a thick moustache has gone viral already. The film also has Renji Panicker, Mammukoya, Siddique, Saikumar. Iniya, Sheelu Abraham, Abu Salim and Hareesh Perumanna in the star cast. 

Shahbaz Aman has composed music for this flick with Om Prakash cranking the camera. With speculations about the release, fans are waiting eagerly for an official announcement!
