

One of the finest actors in Indian cinema, R Madhavan will be seen playing the controversial ISRO scientist Nambi Naryanan who was framed in an espionage case and was later acquitted.
The star has started to prepare for the role he is to play in the movie and has been doing thorough research as part of the homework. He is also seeking counsel of Bollywood star Aamir Khan to get his role right.
Incidentally, Aamir had appeared as an aged man in Dangal and Maddy will also be appearing as an old man in a few scenes in the movie. Sources say that this film is planned as a trilingual and will be released in Tamil, Hindi and English. Speaking about the role he is to play, Madhavan said in an interview to the Times of India, “I am packing on the pounds religiously for my upcoming film — it’s probably the most exciting project of my life. It’s a biopic of a rocket scientist. I will be seen playing the protagonist in different stages of his life, from the age of 27 to 75. I am not at liberty to reveal anything more.”
The film is based on the ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan’s autobiography Ormakalude Brahmanapadam that was released in Thiruvananthapuram on October 26th. The script for the film was developed by Anand Mahadevan based on his recent interview with the veteran scientist. The film will showcase the life of the scientist before and after the ISRO spy case and how he introduced the liquid fuel engine technology in the 1970s. Reports say that plans are on to rope in the technical team that worked in the movie Hollywood film Gravity that had Sandra Bullock in the lead.
