Here’s the good news that Fahadh’s fans have been waiting for. The star’s Role Models is all set for release on June 24th! The film’s shooting was wrapped up a few weeks ago and it went into post production mode soon after. With the post production reaching its last leg, the makers have zeroed on June 24th as its release date. Incidentally, it is a long weekend with Ramzan falling on June 26th.
Fahadh Faasil opened his box office account this year with the Mahesh Narayan directorial Take Off, which went on to receive critical acclaim. In the film, he had played Manoj, Indian Ambassador to Iraq.
Role Models will be his second outing this year. Directed by Rafi, who has written the film, Role Models has Namitha Pramod and Srinda Arhaan playing the female leads. The star cast of this comedy entertainer comprises Vinayakan, Soubin Shahir, Srinda Arhaan, Sharafudheen, Rohini, Seetha, Vinay Forrt, Renji Panicker, Suraj Venjarammood and Aswathi Menon.
According to reports doing rounds, the film is about a group of college friends who strive to revive their friendship after leaving college. The Techille Penne number from the album, popular referred as the Teppu song, has turned out to be massive hit among the youth. BK Harinarayanan has penned the song that was composed by Gopi Sunder. The number was rendered jointly by Gopi Sunder and Niranj Suresh. The technical crew of the film includes Gopi Sunder for music and Shamdat Sainudheen for camera.
Other Fahadh Faasil’s films that are likely to release this year include Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum, Aannengilum Alenkilum, Carbon and Naale in Malayalam and Velaikaran and Aneethi Kathaigal in Tamil.
The news that Role Models will be hitting the silver screens as an Eid bonanza has film buffs waiting in anticipation.
