There have been reports doing rounds off late that Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram will be teaming up with director AL Vijay for a film. However, inquiries revealed that it is nothing but baseless rumors.

Vikram and director Vijay share a good rapport after having worked together in Deiva Thirumagal, which went on to become a cult hit. This perhaps prompted for the rumors that Dhruv will be associating with the director.

Dhruv is currently busy with the Arjun Reddy remake in Tamil. It may be noted here that director Bala had directed the remake under the title Varma but after seeing the final version of the film, the producers decided to scrap the project following creative differences.

In a press release, the production house had stated, “We at E4 Entertainment are not at all happy with the final version handed over to us and due to various creative and other differences, we have decided not to release this version. Instead, we will start afresh and shoot a new Tamil version of Arjun Reddy with Dhruv as the main lead, by staying true to the soul and intention of the original.”

However, the producer had retained Dhruv Vikram and music composer Rothan for the new version of the remake while the rest of the star cast and crew were discarded. While Bala’s version had Megha Chowdhury and Raiza Wilson as the female leads, the new version has Banita Sandhu and Priya Anand in their place.

The film is being directed by Girisayya, an associate of director Sandeep Vanga who had directed the original. Ravi K Chandran is cranking the camera for this venture.

On the other hand, AL Vijay is busy with the Jayalalithaa biopic in which he is directing the Bollywood star Kangna Ranaut.
