Prem’s Premam Poojyam will be launched on May 2 with a grand event. Several biggies from the Kannada film industry are expected to attend this event, the most important of all will be Darshan. Being Prem’s landmark 25th film, there are a lot of expectations on this flick.

Premam Poojyam is directed by Dr Raghavendra and it will be his debut directorial. Besides wielding the megaphone, he has penned the dialogues and screenplay as well. Interestingly, Dr Raghavendra is also the music composer for the film. Naveen Kumar will be cranking the camera for Premam Poojyam. While the film is gearing up to be launched, the makers are yet to finalise on the rest of the star cast, including the heroine.

It may be noted here that Darshan has never shied away from encouraging his colleagues in the film industry. Last month, he launched Dharma Keerthiraj’s Khadak amidst a lot of fanfare. He sounded the clapboard to mark the beginning of proceedings. The star did the honours as he shares a good rapport with Dharma, the film’s hero.

Directed by Raja Rathna, Khadak is bankrolled by Valli and Siddhramaiah under their banner. Anusha Rai plays the female lead and Kabir Duhan Singh will be seen playing the main villain. Krupakar is composing the music for this venture with Shankar cranking the camera. With the shooting commencing right after the pooja, we hear that a major part of the film will be shot in and around Bengaluru.

Besides launching films, Darshan is also busy with his own acting assignments. He recently joined the sets of Robert, which is directed by Tharun Sudhir. The star also has Odeya, directed by MD Sridhar, which is progressing at a brisk pace. A schedule of this film was shot recently in Mysuru and reports indicate that the next schedule will be filmed in Hyderabad. Apparently, Odeya will have Darshan in two different roles.
