Last seen playing a pivotal role in Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai, actor-singer Andrea Jeremiah, the industry grapevine is that she has been approached for an important role in Vijay's next directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

According to reports, Lokesh had met Andrea to narrate the script of the film and the actress was impressed by it. However, an official confirmation on the same is awaited. Meanwhile, Andrea also has Maaligai, an upcoming Tamil horror-thriller directed by popular choreographer-turned-director Dil Sathya, in which she will be seen donning khaki for the first time in her career. Interestingly, Andrea will also be playing a princess in a small portion of Maaligai.

Thalapathy 64 is rumoured to be a gangster drama in which Vijay will play the role of a college professor with a violent past. The film will be predominantly shot against a college backdrop. It will be the first time Vijay will be seen playing a professor; however, he has played a gangster in AL Vijay’s Thalaivaa, which was a box-office dud.

Thalapathy 64 was launched officially earlier this month. The team has wrapped up shooting the first schedule of the film in Chennai and the second schedule is currently being shot in Delhi. Vijay Sethupathi is all set to don the role of the antagonist in Thalapathy 64. Malavika Mohanan, last seen playing a key role in Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta, has been roped in to play the lead female role. Produced  by Xavier Britto under the banner XB Film Creators, the film also stars Anthony Varghese and Shanthnu in key roles. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for this flick while Sathyan Sooryan is the cinematographer. Philomin Raj has been roped in as the editor of this movie.

Vijay's recent Diwali release Bigil with director Atlee has turned out to be a blockbuster hit and marching towards the prestigious 100-crore club. The film, produced by AGS Entertainment, stars sixteen women as football players. It also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in crucial roles.
