According to reports, the
Samara team has already started shooting the film in north India and the makers are planning to shoot across Kashmir, Kulu, Atal Tunnel and nearby regions as the main locations.
The film's director Charles
was quoted by TOI saying,“The film’s title 'Samara' is a Hebrew word, which means protected by god. It’s not the name of a character. The story is connected with an issue that transpired in 1939, during the Second World War. All we can divulge is that he plays the role of an investigator, but revealing the type of investigator or other details would spoil the suspense."
Bankrolled by MK Subhakaran and Anuj Varghese Villyadath, the makers plan to release
Samara in Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil as well. The technical crew comprises Sinu Siddarth of
Kilometres and Kilometres fame incharge of cinematography, with Ayoob Khan in charge of editing and music by Deepak Warrier.
