The lure of social media and the windfall of interacting directly with fans across the globe seems to be an element that almost all actors are learning to embrace. At a time when actors are going the extra mile to engage with their fan base directly, actor Prithviraj has decided to be back on Twitter. This time with a new handle. He told The News Minute that he thought it was high time he had a place where people could interact with him directly and give him the precious luxury of not letting go of his much-valued privacy. On July 6, the actor made his officially (new) debut on Twitter. To make it clear to all his followers, that he has a new Twitter handle, the actor on Wednesday took to his old handle and wrote.  Back on Twitter...Officially! — Prithviraj Sukumaran (@PrithviOfficial) July 6, 2015 He even tweeted a picture of his daughter, but in a careful way, that we surely appreciate!  Evening coffee at home. Rare luxury! pic.twitter.com/JIxSjsPzIB — Prithviraj Sukumaran (@PrithviOfficial) July 8, 2015 "My facebook account, as I have mentioned umpteen times before, is not my personal account but a fan community portal that's run by a groupof friends who of course are in constant touch with me regarding the same. If I want to post something personally on FB, I send them an email and they do the posting for me. Hence, it's not an interface through which you can interact with me personally or directly although I do read the comments and check on it every day. I thought it's high time that I have a place where people can interact with me directly and without letting go of my privacy which I so value, get snippets of the real me and my life. I used to tweet through @lionheart_ps long back but then lost touch. So now that I'm back, thought I'll start fresh on a new handle and thus @PrithviOfficial."- Prithviraj. The last tweet from his old account was made in 2011 to wish actor Abhishek Bachchan on his birthday. After that, he had been missing from the micro-blogging site till recently. So will he be a regular on Twitter or keep disappearing this time too? "I will be as regular as I can," says the actor.Credited with hits like "Classmates" and "Ayalum Njanum Thammil", the actor's latest release was the movie titled "Ivide" with Bhavana and Nivin Pauly.
