It’s not often that actors reveal their emotional side to their fans. So, when actor Silambarasan spoke at the audio launch of the Tamil film "Inimey Ippadithan", he opened up to the audience gathered there like never before. Talking about some of the problems he had encountered in the last two years, he said, though he was labelled as one "born with a silver spoon", the last few years had been very trying for him as he lost not only all his money, but he even had to let go of the love of his life. “Everything important to me went away from me. I had no money... I didn't get money from movies… I had to go to the extent of asking my mom for money. Even the girl I loved left me,” he said speaking in Tamil , looking visibly dejected yet amused at his situation, as the audience cheered him on. Appreciating his fans for their support despite difficult times, he thanked Gautham Menon for casting him in the movie, "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya even" though many had tried dissuading him from picking Simbu as his choice – the movie has since then gone on to become a cult film in the romantic genre.
