It had been widely reported a few weeks ago that Indian e-commerce company Myntra.com, will shut its website from May 1 to become a mobile app-based retailer. Four days past May 1, Myntra is still functioning as a website. So were the reports false?A source in Myntra says that the company had not announced any official date for shutting down the website, but they did intend to close the site."We believe a mobile application provides more flexibility and they could customize their operations more efficiently and make it more user-friendly. Which is why the decision was taken to shut down the website. But we have never officially set a date for this," the source said.In February 2015, Times of India had reported that Myntra gets as much as 80% of its traffic and 60% of sales from its mobile application.
