
Former Union Minister Kapil Sibal has penned lyrics for an upcoming Bollywood film called Zainab. The 66-year-old has also written an item song for the movie.According to a DNA report, “Mast mast hawa” is among the five songs Sibal has written for the film which is based on the Muzaffarnagar riots. The movie will star Jimmy Shergill and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. "Producers nowadays want item numbers. So I have penned one for this film. Cinema is the most effective way of creating awareness and spreading social message,” Sibal reportedly said. He also added that he wanted to spread the message of “happiness, humanity and harmony” through the film. The movie marks the debut of its director Pranav Singh but its not the first time that Sibal has written for a film. He had penned the track “Tu bata de” from the movie titled “Bandook”, his first in Bollywood.
