Thirty-six years ago, the Filmfare awards looked very different from the glamourous, large scale event that it is today. The only similarity to the events today is perhaps that all the stars descend at the function, no matter the venue.

They make smiling entrances and move effortlessly through the party. A Gujarathi dance performance is seen organized as the entertainment for the evening.
