India’s ‘Men in blue’ might be sporting a new look for their match against England on Sunday. Pictures of a predominantly orange jersey have been doing the rounds on social media with several speculating that this may be the new look of the team for their away games.

Sachin Tendulkar’s superfan Sudhir Kumar had taken to Instagram to post a picture of the jersey. It is orange, predominantly, with the front and collar in a dark blue colour.

All the teams playing in this year’s World Cup have reportedly been asked to come to England with two sets of jerseys, one the usual attire in which the team plays and the other for away games.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) had spoken about this earlier in a release. "For televised ICC events, all participating teams will be required to provide for two different coloured kits, except for the host country who has a preference in the choice of colour and may, if it chooses to do so, provide only one coloured kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event," it had said.

However, no official statement has been issued regarding the jersey and it remains to be seen whether the team will be playing in the orange attire during Sunday’s match.

India’s last match was against Afghanistan on Saturday which it won by 11 runs in a tight finish. Mohammad Shami picked up a hat-trick in the final over to clinch the game for India. Batting first, India managed to score only 225 runs against a disciplined Afghanistan attack.
