With the ICC’s 2019 World Cup set to start in London on Thursday, cricket fans from across the world will be tuning into the 12th edition of the much-anticipated sporting event.

The first match will be between England and South Africa at the Kennington Oval cricket ground in London. The match, like most matches, will begin at 3 pm, Indian Standard Time. With each team playing nine matches each, 45 matches will be played in the run-up to the final on July 14 at the Lord's cricket ground in London.

You can watch the matches on channels Star Sports 1 or Star Sports 2 with the English commentary. If you don't have cable connection, you can also watch the match on Doordarshan. However, DD Sports will only telecast matches played by India, the semi-finals and the finals. For regional language commentary, you can watch Star Sports Tamil, Star Sports Telugu and Star Sports Kannada. For Hindi commentary, you can watch Star Sports Hindi. Similarly, All India Radio will also broadcast the India matches, semi-finals and finals.

You can live stream the matches on Hotstar, both on the desktop and through the app. The regional languages are available on the app as well. If you are unable to watch the matches, you can view live updates and scores at a number of websites including ESPNCricinfo, SportsStar and Cricbuzz.

The World Cup features 10 teams this year-- England, which plays host, Australia, Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka-- countries that qualified for the ODI Championship. Afghanistan and West Indies, the two countries that emerged victorious in the 2018 World Cup Qualifier will also be participating. In addition to the Cup, the winning team will take home a whopping cash prize of nearly Rs 28 crore.
