Regarding the film, the producer had said much earlier to Cinema Express, “The film is replete with special effects and director Vi Anand, and his team are investing a lot of efforts to make it a visual extravaganza.”

Three leading ladies Nabha Natesh, Payal Rajput and Priyanka Jawalkar have been roped in to share the screen space opposite Ravi Teja. A few months ago, reports surfaced that Ravi Teja’s Disco Raja is in trouble and had been put in the cold storage. This news was certainly a big disappointment for all Ravi Teja fans as the star is desperately in need of a smash hit and there were a lot of hopes pinned on Disco Raja to be the breakthrough film. With the rumors spreading that Disco Raja was shelved, its producer Ram Talluri had to confirm that the project was on the right track and the shooting in progress.

Last seen in home invasion thriller Kolayuthir Kaalam, Nayanthara has a few interesting projects up her sleeve. And the latest is that Nayanthara would be staring in RJ Balaji's next titled Mookkuthi Amman. The film has been touted to be a satirical comedy and is being scripted by the popular radio jockey turned actor himself.

The film is currently in the pre-production stage and will have Nayanthara playing the titular role. Previously both Nayanthara and RJ Balaji starred in director Vignesh Shivan’s comedy Naanum Rowdy Dhaan and Sivakarthikeyan starrer Velaikaaran.

The project would be bankrolled by Dr Isari Ganesh under his banner Vels Film International and this would be RJ Balaji's second-time collaboration with the banner who had previously collaborated for the film LKG.

After playing second fiddle to heroes, RJ Balaji had played the lead in the Tamil political satire LKG which released this year and he had also doubled up as story and screenplay writer for the project. Balaji played the titular role while Priya Anand was seen as the leading lady.

Recently Balaji was roped in for Shankar's Indian 2 which stars Kamal Haasan in the titular role. The shoot of the highly anticipated sequel resumed recently and the shoot is currently happening in Gwalior.

On the other hand, Nayanthara and Aval fame Milind Rau have joined hands for a new project which has been titled Netrikann. Tipped to be another woman-centric thriller, the film is believed to be an official remake of Korean thriller Blind about a blind woman who gives testimony in a hit-and-run case and is then forced to confront the killer on her own.

The film marks the debut of Nayanthara’s live-in partner Vignesh Shivn as a producer. He will bankroll the project under the banner of Rowdy Pictures.

Interestingly, Bharath did make his debut in the Hindi film industry with Jackpot in 2013. Simba was a comedy, written and directed by Arvind Sridhar. The film had Bharath, Premgi Amaren, Swathi Deekshith and Bhanu Sri Mehrain the lead roles, with Ramana in supporting role. Vishal Chandrasekhar had composed music for this film with Sinu Siddharth cranking the camera and Achu Vijayan editing it. The film was based on the critically acclaimed Australian TV Series Wilfred.

The technical crew of this film included Amresh Ganesh for music, Sarvesh Murari for cinematography and Sathya Suriya for editing. Pottu was produced by John Max for Shalom Studios.

Bharath currently has projects not only in Tamil but in Malayalam and Kannada as well. His project in Tamil includes Kaalidas, 8 and Naduvan. In Sandalwood he has Akhil and in Malayalam, he has 6 Hours besides Kshanam.
