
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S is the new smartphone from the Xiaomi stable to be launched in the Indian market. The highlight of this phone is the 48MP camera that forms part of the rear camera setup.
Redmi Note 7 is already a device introduced in the market and this 7S variant is the latest to join the trend of sporting a 48MP shooter. It is also understood that the company has managed to sell all the Redmi Note 7 it had produced.

The phone comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that offers a screen resolution of 2340×1080pixels. There is a notch that is more like a dot than any other shape. The glass body in the front and rear gets protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor is the CPU. There are two RAM variants, 3GB and 4GB and the corresponding internal storage levels would be 32GB and 64GB respectively.
The camera section has a dual camera setup in the rear, with the 48MP and 5MP cameras in combination. The front camera is 13MP. The AI portrait mode supports both the front and rear cameras. PDAF and EIS are the other modes available with the cameras. Steady Handheld Night Photography mode is another feature that has been added to the Redmi Note 7S. Xiaomi claims it “uses sophisticated algorithms to achieve a perfect picture each time regardless of light conditions”. There’s a 4000mAh battery with USB Type-C and Quick Charge 4 support. The phone also sports a fingerprint sensor and AI Face unlock
The prices announced for the Redmi Note 7S for the Indian market will be Rs 10,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. The phone can be purchased in four colours, Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red and Onyx Black. Sale starts 12 PM May 23 and the device will be available from Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Homes. Offline stores will start selling from May 24.
