Xiaomi launches 55-inch Mi TV 4X 2020 Edition

Chinese technology major Xiaomi has announced Mi TV 4X (55) 2020 Edition, its latest smart TV from the Mi TV 4X line-up.

The Mi TV 4X (55) 2020 Edition features a 4K 10-bit HDR display complemented by Xiaomi’s in-house image processing algorithm, Vivid Picture Engine. The smart TV also houses 20W speakers certified for Dolby Audio™ and DTS-HD®. 

Powering Mi TV 4X (55) 2020 Edition is Xiaomi’s indigenously designed PatchWall 2.0 UI with Android 9 Pie. PatchWall 2.0 brings an extensive library of 4K content with native support for Netflix, Prime Video and Hotstar alongside 16 leading content partners and 7 live news channels across 7 languages. Mi TV 4X (55) 2020 Edition comes with Google’s latest Android TV 9.0 bringing Google Assistant, YouTube, Chromecast, Google Play Store and Data Saver built in.

The Mi TV 4X (55) 2020 Edition will be available for December 2, 2019, 12 noon on Mi.com, Amazon and Mi Home and is priced at Rs 34,999.

Xiaomi is also offering 4 months of Airtel DTH connection subscription at Rs 1,800 as against the regular price of Rs 3,450 for those who buy Mi TVs on or till January 31, 2020.

After becoming the market leader for smartphones, Xiaomi’s smart TV business too has seen an exponential growth with the brand registering a 32% market share as per IDC Worldwide Quarterly Smart Home Device Tracker, 2019 Q2 release. 

The company said in a statement that it sold over 600,000 Mi TVs in 28 days during the Diwali With Mi sale across Mi.com, Flipkart, Amazon and all offline channels.
