
Vivo launched its latest mid segment smartphone, the Vivo V17 and V17 Pro in the Indian market on Monday. The highlight of this new device is the camera section, with a quad camera in the rear placed in the shape of letter ‘L’ in the Vivo V17 and a popup selfie camera in the Vivo V17 Pro.
The basic specifications are as follows:
The Vivo V17 has a display of 6.44-inch OLED screen with a punch hole to house the 32MP front selfie camera. It’s a full HD+ resolution. The processor under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675AIE. This places the device right in the mid-segment. The phone has 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. It can be expanded to 256GB. The operating system is the Android Pie, version 9.0, with the Funtouch 9.2 UI riding on it.
As mentioned, the camera section in the rear has 4 shooters, with the primary sensor being 48MP in resolution. The remaining three comprise an 8MP wide-angle camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens.
The 4,500mAh battery powers the device with 18W Dual-Engine fast charging support. The USB-C type socket and the 3,5mm jack are included. There is an under-display fingerprint sensor.
There are two colours of the Vivo V17 to choose from; Midnight Black and Glacier Ice White. Vivo is offering the Vivo V17 at an inaugural discount of Rs 5,000 and from a price of Rs 27,990 it can be pre-ordered now at Rs 22,790 on the company’s site. Sale starts on December 17.
The Vivo V17 Pro has almost the same specifications as the Vivo V17 except that the rear camera section has four shooters, 48MP+13MP+8MP+2MP and the battery size is 4,100MP. The front selfie camera is dual sensor setup with a 32MP and an 8MP sensor combined in a popup style. There is no hole or notch on the front screen.
The price here is Rs 32,990 and the Rs 5,000 inaugural discount is available here as well, with the pre-order being taken at Rs 27,990.
