
Vivo has launched a new smartphone, the Vivo Z5x in the budget segment. The launch has been carried out in China with no indication on when it would be available in the Indian market.
The phone has moderate specifications, starting with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display that offers a screen resolution of 2340x1080pixels. The aspect ratio is 19.5:9. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 710SoC is the main processor while the RAM support is offered in variants from 4GB to 8GB. At the top end, the internal storage is 128GB and other RAM/ROM variants will be available as well. The Android Pie version 9 OS, with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 9 on top will run the device.
In the optics section, there are three cameras in the rear, 16MP+8MP+2MP, the last being a depth sensor and in the front, a punch hole type notch houses a 16MP selfie camera. The battery is powerful at 5,000mAh and the company supplies an 18W quick charger, which is called dual engine flash charging. Aurora, Extreme Night Black, and Phantom Black are the three colours the new Viva Z5x is being released in. The phone goes on sale in China beginning June 1.
Coming to the pricing of this phone from Vivo, there are 4 variants; the 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB RAM/ROM combinations; their prices are CNY1,398, CNY1,498, CNY1,698 and CNY1,998 respectively. When converted, these could read Rs 14,000, Rs 15,000, Rs 17,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
As indicated, the manufacturer has not provided details on when the Vivo Z5x will be launched in the other international markets, including India.
