In a bid to help global pharmaceutical company Merck enhance its talent pool, T-Hub is organizing a hackathon, along with Merck, to help it find full-stack developers and system architects experienced in IoT and cybersecurity professionals.
Merck is a 350-year-old pharmaceutical company that was founded in Germany in 1668. In India, Merck is in the business of healthcare, life science and performance materials.
Called Hack2Hire, the program seeks to find the right candidates for Merck to be able to implement digital projects in the Life Sciences domain alongside pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers.
From those who apply, shortlisted participants will be invited to take part in a 12-hour hackathon in T-Hub’s campus in Hyderabad on January 26, 2019. This is where they will have the opportunity to develop and showcase their solutions and will be given access to relevant tools, along with mentorship from industry experts.
Participants who get shortlisted from the hackathon will have get an interview with the global digital team of Merck, and if picked, will be able to work on new technology platforms at the company along with an ‘industry standard salary’.
Who can apply?
Hack2Hire is looking for professionals with experience in designing user interfaces for SCADA applications, hands-on experience in programming on front-end technologies, should have the knowledge of HTML, Java Stack and Javascript, have experience in micro-services and security. Those with the ability to create and articulate a high level and detailed level technical design aligned to the requirement, will also be eligible, as per the call for applications on T-Hub’s website.
Teams with a maximum of four members and individuals can apply for the hackathon. Applications for the hackathon are already open and will close on January 7, 2019.
This is the second Hack2Hire program being conducted by T-Hub. Earlier this year, it partnered with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) Hyderabad Research & Design Center (HRDC) to invite cyber security professionals to join UTC HRDC and work to implement projects related to Product security, deploy best in class technology, and streamline security process across its (CCS/OTIS) products.
