Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio has announced a one-time offer for its affordable feature phone, the JioPhone. During the festive season of Dussehra and Diwali, Jio is making the JioPhone available for a price of only Rs 699 as against the current price of Rs 1500. This offer, Jio says, comes without any special conditions like having to exchange your old phone.
For JioPhone customers who join Jio through the DIWALI 2019 OFFER, Jio will offer data benefits valued at Rs 700. For first 7 recharges that the customer does, Jio will additionally add Rs 99 worth of data.
This additional data worth Rs 700 will enable JioPhone users to access various services including entertainment, payments, e-commerce, education, learning, train and bus booking, artificial intelligence apps, among others.

Reliance claims that the JioPhone is the only smartphone that is made in India, by Indians, with an Indian Operating System. Since its launch, nearly 7 crore 2G users have been on-boarded on the JioPhone platform, the company said in a statement.
The company also launched its broadband services in August across 1,600 cities in India. Called JioFiber, the speeds start at 100 Mbps and goes all the way up to 1 Gbps. JioFiber also comes with free domestic voice calling, conferencing and international calling, TV video calling and conferencing, entertainment OTT apps, gaming, home networking, Device Security, VR Experience and Premium Content Platform. The company announced six plans starting at Rs 699 per month, which go up to Rs 8,499.
