After having postponed the earlier announced launch of the new Moto X4 it has now been confirmed for November 13. This information has come through a tweet and the phone’s specifications have been picked from the IFA 2017 when the company had revealed the model.

The Moto X4 will feature a metal unibody and would be made available in three colors, super black and sterling blue. The bottom of the phone has the USB type C port and the 3.5mm audio jack.

It has a 5.2-inch full HD display. The screen resolution is 1080x1920pixels with a density of 424 pixels and it’s a LTPS IPS type display. The screen receives Corning Gorilla Protection as well. The processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, octa-core SoC. The chip offers a clocking speed of 2.2GHz. The Moto X4 will have 3GB RAM. The internal storage capacity is expected to be 32GB.

The battery would be 3000mAh and will have a fast charging facility.

The camera section features a dual camera setup in the rear. A 12MP autofocus sensor is coupled with an 8MP wide-angle lens. The aperture sizes are f/2.0 and f/2.2 for the two lenses respectively. Ultra-wide angle shot, professional mode, depth detection and depth effects, selective Focus and selective Black & White (beta) are some of the salient features supporting this rear camera setup on this Motorola phone. A 16MP sensors adorns the front of the phone with a f/2.0 aperture lens and flash support. The connectivity options are all provided without exception, including 4G LTE.

For the record, the phone measures 148.35mmx73.4mmx7.99mm and has a weight of 163 grams.

One highlight of the new Moto X4 will be the presence of not one but two voice based virtual assistants, in Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. It is hoped that with the launch of Amazon Echo home speakers in the Indian market, Moto X4’s USP could be the compatibility with the technology.

One will have to, however, wait till November 13 to know the price the phone will be sold at in India.
