Yu Yureka is a sub brand from the Micromax group, the Indian mobile phone manufacturer. It has launched its latest smartphone, the Yu Yureka 2 with some decent specifications and definitely a reasonable price point.

First, the specifications of the phone: it has a 5.5-inch full HD display with the screen resolution being 1080x1920pixels. The main processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and the RAM is 4GB. Quite creditable specifications these and when you consider that the phone’s internal memory storage is 64GB and the battery is 3920mAh, you would feel these are nothing less than a higher segment smartphone.

The OS however is still the Android Marshmallow 6.0, when most phones have upgraded to the Android Nougat and by the end of the year many new devices should be running on the Android Oreo.

Two more details; the battery is supported by the Quickcharge 3.0 and this battery offers a 24-hour talk time advantage as well; and there is the microSD slot also provided to expand the memory beyond the phone’s 64GB.

The optics department sports a 16MP rear camera and the front camera for selfies is of 8MP. It’s a dual SIM 1-Nano and 1-Micro SIM.

The connectivity options are complete with 4G also enabled on this new Yu Yureka 2 smartphone. All sensors are also on board to make the user experience smooth and seamless.

It may be recalled here that Yu Yureka is a brand which is an online exclusive brand and the devices are sold only through the virtual retail stores like Amazon and Flipkart and are not sold through offline stores.

Accordingly, the Yu Yureka 2 will also be sold through these online stores and the price for this phone is Rs 11, 999.
