Parvathy's first ever Bollywood film Qarib Qarib Singlle is all set for release on Friday and the actor is naturally upbeat about it.
In an interview to indiawest.com, she was asked how she felt about her debut and Parvathy said that she had debuted about 11 years ago and that as an artist, one can debut only once.
She had been quoted as saying, “You can debut only once as an artist. For me, that was 11 years ago with my first film. Or probably even before that when I did theater for the first time. Concepts like import and export don’t interest me!”
Touted to be a romantic comedy, Qarib Qarib Singlle is directed by Tanuja Chandra and stars Parvathy and Irrfan Khan as the lead pair.
Anu Malik and Rochak Kohli have composed the tunes for this flick.
While Tanuja Chandra has directed the film, the screenplay for it is by Tanuja Chandra, Gazal Dhaliwal, and Kamna Chandra. Presented by Zee Studios, the rom-com is a production venture of Jar Pictures.
It has been shot extensively across real locations such as Bikaner, Rishikesh and Gangtok.
Speaking about the film, the director is reported to have said that it is a contemporary love story that revolves around a couple who begin an unusual journey that turns out to be an adventure.
Known for violent thrillers, director Tanuja Chandra has made a fun and romantic entertainer this time around. Parvathy made her acting debut with the Malayalam film Out of Syllabus in 2006 and has acted in Tamil and Kannada films so far, other than Malayalam films. Qarib Qarib Singlle will be her first ever Hindi movie. It may be noted here that Parvathy has a slew of awards to her credit including the Kerala State Government award and Filmfare Awards South.
