For 115-year-old Susannah Mushatt Jones, it’s never too late to wear fancy lingerie. She recently earned the title of the “oldest-recorded person” in the world after former title holder Jeralean Talley died on June 17, according to a report in Huffington Post.

Fondly known as Susie among friends and relatives, she is set to celebrate her 116th birthday on July 6.

Born in Alabama, she moved to New York City to become a nanny to wealthy families, although she has no children of her own. In fact, she attributes her long life to having no children and one short marriage.

Susie cannot survive without her bacon, barbecque chicken and gum, says her neice Selba Mushatt. In fact, she was cooking "all kinds of food" including cakes and pies until she was 100, says another neice in a New York Post report.
