Solar scam accused Saritha Nair has been appearing before a judicial commission probing the solar scam for the last three days. Saritha's utterances to the commission and to the media contingents waiting outside have been scandalous, scurrilous and downright sensational. The accusations have been coming thick and fast with such frequency that no one is bothered anymore about their veracity.
In the latest twist in the Solar Scam, co-accused Saritha Nair on Friday claimed that CM Oommen Chandy asked her to form a company with his son Chandy Oommen, as its director and with other family members on board.
She said that she met Chandy Oommen at Cliff House and held discussions twice, following which he asked her to make a deal with an American company, which would supply solar panels.
Further, Saritha alleged that the CM’s son Chandy Oommen was in an intimate relationship with a woman, who is a co-accused in the case and also accompanied this woman to Dubai.
She also refuted allegations that she was testifying against Oommen Chandy because CPI(M) leader E P Jayarajan had given her 10 crores to expose the CM.
In her response, she said on Friday that she doesn’t need the CPI(M)'s money as she has been signed on for four films, which are on the anvil and shooting for the first film is set to begin shortly.
"I don't need the CPI(M) or EP Jayarajan's money. I just signed four movies," Saritha told the media.
Incidentally, last year Saritha Nair had told Jaihind News that CPI(M) leader EP Jayarajan had offered her money to expose Oommen Chandy.
She claimed that she has digital, physical and material evidence to prove her allegations.
Saritha Nair had earlier made the following allegations against Oommen Chandy on Wednesday:
Chief Minister asked 7 crore bribe through his personal staff member Jikkumon Jacob, gave 1.9 crore in two installments first installment from Delhi to CM's close aid Thomas Kuruvila from Vigyan Bhawan. Second portion was given from Thiruvananthapuram.
Gave money to Kuruvila as directed by Oommen Chandy. Met Chandy in secretariat along with Sreedharan Nair. Have talked to CM personally over his private land phone connection. Have informed him all about money given to Kuruvila.
On Thursday, she had claimed:
Met CM in cliff house, though Mariamma Oommen and Chandy Oommen was present there, CM talked to Saritha privately. He talked about business and some personal problems which Biju Radhakrishnan shared with him.
Ganesh Kumar's PA Pradeep Kumar met her in jail and said that CM asked him to meet her. He offered compensation and promised to solve problems. Pradeep told Saritha MLA Benny Behnan, Thampanoor Ravi and CM himself have talked to Saritha's mother. Pradeep also said that cases can be settled out of teh court and money will be given to Saritha.
Pradeep said he was a messenger of Chief Minister and after talking to him for 40 mins she re wrote the original 30 page letter, which was written during custody period and made it a four page one and gave to Ernakulam Chief Judicial Magistrate.
MLA Benny Behnan and Thampanoor Ravi called over phone four or five times a day and directed how to give statements to media when new allegations come against CM over solar case each time. They also promised to give the bribe money back and solve financial and legal issues.
