What happens when a neighbourhood choir on an early Sunday morning gets too loud for comfort?When a choir at St. Joseph’s church in Thanjavur disturbed one senior IPS officer’s morning meditation, he ended up sending police officials to the spot, Times of India reported.Around 30 police personnel sent on behalf of Thanjavur range DIG Sanjay Kumar landed up at the church and told the church authorities to reduce their volume, and keep it within recommended decibel levels.While the police some of whom entered the church complained that the decibel level was high, church authorities responded saying that they had not amplified the sound over the limit, said the report. The incident occured last Sunday following which a team of members belonging to the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board inspected the church to check decibel levels.
