WhatsApp is introducing more modifications within its messaging app and these changes are already available in the beta version of WhatsApp. The stable version rollout may not be far from now.
The first one relates to the ‘muted’ status indication. In your existing settings, the Muted Status updates appear in grey. In the change now being brought about, the WhatsApp user will have the option to hide this muted status. This is not an entirely new development. Microblogging site WABetainfo had suggested that something like this is in the offing, months earlier. Even now, the same site has shared this information on how the WhatsApp Beta for Android version 2.19.260 has this hide muted status feature available.
The other addition on WhatsApp would be the appearance of the Facebook Pay icon on the WhatsApp page. Now WhatsApp already has an active payment gateway WhatsApp Pay. What another payment channel from the parent company can offer is something one will have to wait, for the feature to make its appearance. The information on the blog on WABetainfo just says that Facebook Pay is being included in the Android version of the messaging app. The blog has not disclosed much beyond this.
The third addition being reported on the Facebook-owned messaging app is for the users of the app on the iOS platform. The app aims to bring in an amendment that could ensure accurate adjustment of text, emojis and stickers on photos, videos and GIFs. This facility too is reported to be available on the beta version of WhatsApp on the iOS platform. The facility will be extended to the status update media as well.
These new features may start appearing on your WhatsApp interface whether you are on an Android device or an iOS device.
