In a close shave, former Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho escaped unhurt after a traffic pole fell in front of his car in Kozhikode on Monday morning.
The Brazilian star was returning from a function in Nadakkavu school when the incident occurred on Kannur road.
A Youtube video which has captured the incident shows a traffic pole come crashing down on the road in front of Ronaldinho's car, which is brought to a grinding halt. Following this, a few policemen and others remove the pole immediately after which the car proceeds again.
Ronaldinho arrived in Kozhikode on Sunday to inaugurate the Sait Nagjee Cup football tournament commencing from February 5.
The former Barcelona and AC Milan player is the brand ambassador of the Nagjee International Football Club tournament.
